Dear Norwood Community,
You are invited to submit a letter of interest to participate on the Norwood Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Board that focuses on equity and diversity in our community. We currently have an opening for a Norwood resident with a 1 year term.
The purpose of the DEI Advisory Board is to provide advice and support for the city’s work to become more diverse, equitable, inclusive and anti-racist through its policies, practices and programs. The Board will also play an active role in regularly communicating progress in this work to the Norwood community.
Membership on the Board includes representatives from all stakeholder groups including City Council, City employees and residents. Membership on the Board is voluntary and will be capped at 7. The Board will meet monthly at dates and times convenient for the members. Those selected will serve a 1, 2 or 3 year term. A new round of Board member recruitment will be launched when necessary.
If you are interested in serving on this Board, please send a letter of interest by Friday, October 27 to:
Council Secretary
Norwood City Hall
4645 Montgomery Road
Norwood OH 45212
Your letter should include a statement of your reason(s) why you would like to serve and highlight some of your experiences that demonstrate why you would be a strong contributor to this work.
We are very excited to engage in this critical work and look forward to working with members of our community to make Norwood a place where everyone feels safe and valued. We look forward to hearing from you!
